MARISA FRIZZELL, APRN, CPNP
NURSE PRACTITIONER

Marisa Frizzell was born and raised in Dallas, TX. She attended Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She started her nursing career at Children’s Medical Center as an RN in the Emergency Room. Later, she worked as a charge nurse on the in-patient floor, primarily taking care of kids that had cystic fibrosis, various endocrinology disorders, neurology disorders as well as general pediatric care. After working for 5 years as an RN, she returned back to graduate school at Vanderbilt University with a Master of Science in Nursing and became a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, specializing in primary care. As a nurse practitioner, she worked in out-patient endocrinology at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and took care of patients who had diabetes, thyroid disorders, and those referred to the childhood obesity clinic. She then began her own family and chose Richardson Pediatrics for her own kids’ care.

She left Children’s endocrinology clinic as her husband’s job moved her family (including two children) to London for a year.

Upon returning back to Dallas, she started working at Richardson Pediatric Associates and has thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of taking care of our wonderful families and watching them grow! She is married to Mike and is busy raising four kids (three girls and a boy). When she is not attending her kids’ sporting events or shuttling them to and from practices or school events, she loves to bake, cook, and host friends and family at their home in Richardson.
